A celebrated visual artist wanted to catalog and preserve his groundbreaking film library.
One of the world's most influential documentary filmmakers had a life's work of films that reveal the mysteries and wisdom of nature, people, and places through breathtaking imagery using his time-lapse and visual effect cinematography. The motion picture film was housed at an aging facility and needed to be preserved in state-of-the-art film vaults.
The first step was to move the catalog to PRO-TEK's facility in Thousand Oaks for asset identification, cataloging, and metadata schema creation. Metadata was then entered into our asset management system. Film was rehoused in proper archival containers for cold vault storage. Using PRO-TEK's asset management system, our customer was able to review inventory data and can prioritize film digitization and mastering when required.
The documentary production company preserved and organized a life's work of precious film masters which it monetizes on ad-supported and subscription streaming services.
